Children each learn and develop at their own pace, and reading is no different from other skill building. It’s common for kids to find reading challenging at one point or another. Reading is perhaps one of the key essential skill of life. Dyslexia is most associated with trouble learning to read. Children with dyslexia have a hard time decoding words, reading and spelling. Dyslexia is not a reflection of a child’s intelligence — in fact it’s defined as a gap between a student’s ability and achievement

A dyslexia diagnosis does not mean your child will never learn to read, there are multiple approaches that we use to help these children improve, which includes

  • Teaching comprehension strategies, to help kids derive meaning from what they’re reading.

Our tutors are trained for these programs and tailored to the specific needs of your child. We have comprehensive phonics programs designed to target the gaps of child’s reading abilities. Sometimes we require to go back to basics with revision of letter and sounds. We do assess children initially which allow us to find the children strength and weakness and from where we know how to start with them. Then we use tailored programs, methods and practice of skills during lesson and for homework to give your child the tools they need to become confident reader and get comfortable in lessons. We help them grow vocabulary building and engaging them different activities through multi-sensory learning approach.
